Sometimes it's the little victories. Today I was able to see the team sorting the piping under the road for Balfour Beatty (ultimately for Herefordshire Council) and the team putting in waterproof covers for Welsh Water.... operating at the same time so that we only have to close the road once. Initially, after asking Welsh Water to do this work, we'd had a number of delays and they had said they had eventually been able to get a road closure, but not until the end of November. I'd become aware that BBLP had the job lined up for October, so I got hold of BBLP people and made sure that the works could happen at the same time. Less cost, less disruption. It shouldn't be that difficult for these things to be coordinated.
